One Leicester - As it really is... without the Bull.
The purpose of this site is to bring a little honesty into the way Leicester is presented.
At the moment the powers that be in Leicester that are running the "One Leicester" Campaign that presents the city in a much better light that to what people find when they visit it.
Their photography in the "One Leicester" campaign does not show the litter and the overflowing bins. Neither does it show the instances of neglect in the outer laying neighbourhoods such as that in St Peters.
It is our hope as residents and business owners in this city, that by publishing the facts as they truly are, in slide shows and video on this website, that Leicester City Council will sort its act out and fix the issues that are staring them in the face rather than trying to bullshit people in their marketing spin that is the "One Leicester" campaign on just how everything is so wonderful here.
Is it all really that bad?
No it is not. Leicester has made great strides in the past 5 yrs in transforming itself and where it aspires to be in the estimations of the people who live, visit and work in Leicester and the wider East Midlands.
Leicester has truly great developments such as the Highcross Quarter with its scattering selection of great restaurants, a first class multiplex cinema and of course the expansive selection of shops of the Highcross Quarter with more cash registers than you can shake a stick at. Not to mention of course the established shops of the Highcross Quarter
Leicester's Cultural Quarter also another area of upcoming brilliance. Boasting a world class performing arts centre the Curve where you can see a whole array of performances throughout the month as well as hire rooms for workshops and events.
The new Leicester Digital Media centre at Phoenix Square is also yet another new shimmering jewel in Leicester's crown. Article in progress...
